The Idaho Mosquito and Vector Control Association is a non-profit association for mosquito and vector control professionals serving the local communities of Idaho for mosquito population reduction and protecting the public from vector-borne diseases. When the IMVCA was founded, there was a simple goal of promoting safe and effective mosquito control practices throughout the state. In order accomplish this goal, we established the following objectives:
- To promote a close cooperation among the individuals within the State of Idaho that provide or are charged with Mosquito Control and related work.
- To develop and disseminate information among mosquito control professionals throughout the State and to act as a clearinghouse for information to improve efficiency in the provision of public services.
- To formulate and promote State Legislation of common interest to Mosquito Control Agencies of the State and to oppose detrimental legislation.
- To provide information and assistance with administrative and judicial actions and decisions of common interest to Mosquito Control agencies of the State.
- To promote understanding with other units of local government and the public in fulfilling the mosquito agency's role as a responsible unit of government.
- To do any and all things necessary and proper for the benefit of Idaho's Mosquito Abatement Districts.
